To work alongside the Diabetes Multidisciplinary team in the provision of patient care To undertake the measurement of baseline observations To undertake phlebotomy in accordance to training and Trust Policies To be able to work unsupervised acting within safe limitations and report findings to the appropriate healthcare professional To recognise changes in observations and to report them and document findings in the patients computer record To work on own initiative at times under the supervision Diabetes Specialist Nurses. To support effective communication both internally and externally utilising a range of agreed communications eg email, telephone, letters. Actively contribute to the service specification to deliver a high standard of care in accordance with National and Local targets and guidelines To work under the guidance of a registered practitioner acknowledging own skills and boundaries, taking opportunities to develop self-knowledge, contributing to effective team work and respond to the changing needs of the servic
