Join us on this meaningful journey where your skills, compassion and dedication will make a remarkable difference in the lives of those we serve.   How you’ll contribute  A Diabetes Educator who excels in this role: * Independently writes, communicates, and implements teaching interventions for patients, families, significant others. * Delivers educational material using teaching principals and a variety of formats for new pediatric inpatients and outpatients in group and individual sessions. * Delivers educational material appropriate for identified needs utilizing knowledge of growth and development for outpatients in group and individual sessions. * Assists to maintain diabetes supplies. * Provides back up and assists other staff, as necessary.   What we’re looking for  * Minimum Education Associate’s Degree in Nursing OR Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics * *Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education. * Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP); * Registered Dietitian Certification OR Registered Nurse (RN); * Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) (within 2 years of hire)   Why join us: We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care. Responsibilities
The Diabetes Educator independently develops and implements teaching interventions for patients and their families in both group and individual settings. They are responsible for delivering educational materials tailored to patient needs and maintaining necessary diabetes supplies.
