Job Description Join our Façade & Sustainability team in Sydney as a Diagnostic and Remedial Façade Engineer. In this role, you will deliver remedial façade solutions that meet client requirements within agreed project timeframes and budget. To achieve this outcome, this role is required to apply sound understanding of remedial engineering principles to plan and contribute to projects of a reasonably complex nature. You will also be responsible for: Undertake on-site façade/building diagnostic investigations (including water penetration investigations, failure of façade elements and concrete testing and analysis) Prepare remedial work specifications for concrete repairs, waterproofing, protective coatings, brickwork repairs and heritage restoration Provide technical assistance to new build façade contractors relating to the weatherproofing and installation of various façade systems Ensuring engineering activities are performed in accordance with the project requirements to a high technical standard within allocated time and budget Prepare tender documentation, design documentation/specifications and project deliverables to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity Qualifications Ideally, you will have at least 5 years of demonstrated experience in a similar role with IRATA certification. In addition, you will also have: Relevant qualification/s or significant working remedial façade engineer Valid full driver’s license General construction certifications (White card, Working safely at heights) IRATA certification mandatory Proven experience within the façade industry in Australia with knowledge of design of various façade systems Knowledge of relevant façade standards and codes Knowledge of façade design principles for weathertightness Possess project management skills including achieving prescribed budget, timeframes and customer requirements for projects assigned Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to demonstrate good time management skills Additional Information We are open to considering this role on a full-time basis.
