Description Perform a variety of technical and direct patient care services as delegated by the physician and/or Clinic Manager to allow for proper professional diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients’ condition(s). Collect data and accurately document findings. Oversee daily patient care flow to ensure safe, prompt, and efficient service. Essential Functions Acquaint all new patients with office procedures to which they will be exposed. Accurately documents and performs measurements for new and returning patients, including vision acuity, pinhole tests, autorefractor and Lensmeter readings (automatic and manual), visual fields, pachymetry, corneal topography, potential acuity meter, keratometry readings, OCT (ON, Macula and RCG), A- and B-scans, IOL measurements, fundus and external photography, fluorescein angiography, and retinal scans. Manage patient flow efficiently, ensuring minimal wait times and a smooth patient experience. Maintains and cleans all equipment being used and adheres to strict infection control protocols and safety standards. Maintains utmost patient confidentiality. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Job Specifications Typically has the following skills or abilities: One year of work experience or training in a similar role. Working knowledge of eye anatomy, disease, symptoms, and ocular meds. Familiarity with medical and Ophthalmic terminology. Excellent organizational skills and diligence. Ability to travel daily. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients, colleagues, and health care professionals. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Demonstrated commitment to patient care and safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently under pressure. Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs. Professional demeanor and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality. Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records systems. Basic testing: Visual Field (VF), Optical Coherent Test (OCT), Pachymetry plus A-scan Biometry, Intraocular Lens Calculations/B-scans-Sonograms /Corneal Topography, or assistant and workup.
