UPMC Williamsport is currently seeking a full-time Advanced Diagnostic Technologist to join our dedicated imaging team. Schedule: Typical hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with rotating on-call, weekend, and holiday responsibilities. Final title and compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, education, and certifications. About the Role As an Advanced Diagnostic Technologist, you will perform a wide range of imaging procedures with a high level of independence and expertise. This role requires sound judgment, technical skill, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. Key Responsibilities Perform advanced imaging procedures independently, ensuring high-quality diagnostic results. Support Clinical Specialists with QA initiatives, regulatory testing, and research activities. Operate specialty equipment (e.g., O.R., Fluoroscopy) and perform electrocardiograms and lab draws as needed. Monitor and maintain quality control standards, adhering to the latest imaging protocols. Provide coverage for off-shifts, on-call duties, and satellite locations while maintaining clear communication with leadership. Collaborate with Radiologists on protocol development and imaging standards. Participate in system-wide standardization efforts and workgroups. Mentor and train new staff and student technologists. Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology. 2 years Diagnostic experience required for the advanced tech level. Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: ARRT certified in Radiography. CPR or BLS Required. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
