This full-time role offers day shift hours from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional weekend shifts during the fall sports season. Please note that travel will be a requirement of this position. Responsibilities: Ensures accurate patient identification using two identifiers, adhering to universal protocol during procedures for safety and compliance. Thoroughly reviews patient history and physician orders, following departmental protocols to optimize data acquisition and patient outcomes. Documents patient history in the electronic record system as required, ensuring completeness and accuracy for ongoing care. Administers oral and rectal contrast materials per physician orders and departmental policies, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Ensures all exams are correctly coded and tracked through the RIS system, properly networking them to ISITE for archiving and interpretation. Performs diagnostic radiography procedures according to established protocols without requiring constant supervision, demonstrating professional competence. Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills, interacting with patients and colleagues with care, respect, and dignity, fostering a positive environment. Effectively communicates instructions and explains procedures to patients, helping to alleviate fears and encourage cooperation during imaging processes. Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or verification from ARRT approved school of completion of program and scheduled graduation date Technologists hired before graduation will have indirect supervision by an ARRT certified diagnostic technologist until the degree is verified Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: ARRT Registry eligible as a Radiologic Technologist. Must obtain radiography registry within 6 months of hire date.
