MASTER’S DEGREE IN SPECIAL EDUCATION, EDUCATIONAL DIAGNOSTICS, PSYCHOLOGY OR A RELATED FIELD, ACTIVE EDUCATIONAL DIAGNOSTICIAN LICENSE, AND 1+ YEARS EDUCATIONAL DIAGNOSTICIAN EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

A K-12 school in Houston, TX is seeking a skilled Educational Diagnostician for a full academic school year contract. This position plays a critical role in identifying student learning needs and developing appropriate educational plans and interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations to assess students learning abilities and needs
  • Interpret assessment data and develop clear, actionable reports
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to design individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
  • Provide expert recommendations to enhance educational outcomes for students with diverse learning profiles
  • Comply with all state and federal regulations related to special education services

Qualifications:

  • Valid Educational Diagnostician certification or licensure per state requirements
  • Experience working with K-12 student populations
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools and educational testing methodologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage caseloads efficiently
