MASTER’S DEGREE IN SPECIAL EDUCATION, EDUCATIONAL DIAGNOSTICS, PSYCHOLOGY OR A RELATED FIELD, ACTIVE EDUCATIONAL DIAGNOSTICIAN LICENSE, AND 1+ YEARS EDUCATIONAL DIAGNOSTICIAN EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

An opportunity is available for a dedicated Educational Diagnostician to work full-time within a K-12 public school setting in Manassas, VA. This contract position spans the next school year, providing a meaningful role supporting student success through comprehensive evaluation and diagnostic services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed assessments to identify students’ educational needs, disabilities, and learning challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student requirements.
  • Interpret evaluation results and provide clear, actionable recommendations for interventions and accommodations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all state and federal regulations related to special education.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and emerging trends in educational diagnostics.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Certification or Licensure as an Educational Diagnostician.
  • Proven experience conducting K-12 student assessments and providing diagnostic insights.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, assessment tools, and instructional strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with diverse school personnel and families.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining a student-centered approach.
