Position Overview:
The Diagnostics Technician will provide hands-on support working with diagnostic systems, as well as mechanical and electrical equipment. This role will work within our Diagnostics team to help build, maintain and troubleshoot an assortment of complex and unique equipment and machinery.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a shop or lab environment and/or working hands-on with mechanical equipment
  • Experience and comfort working in a fast-paced research and development environment
  • Strong multi-disciplinary skillset with demonstrated experience in diagnosing, repairing and solving system/equipment challenges
  • Hands-on experience working with a wide variety of mechanical and electrical equipment in a research or product development lab environment
  • Familiarity with 3D CAD design software (SolidWorks)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent communicator
  • Ability to lift to 20k
Responsibilities
  • Assemble and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, and pneumatic systems
  • Precision mechanical assembly working with small and sensitive components and parts
  • Provide input and suggestions for design and assembly procedures
  • Basic electrical work such as soldering, using a multimeter, and cable making
  • Calibration work and data analysis
  • Maintain a clean, organized lab, shop and workplace
  • Prioritize personal and co-worker safety
