Job Summary:
Responsible for assisting with the overall technical maintenance of the dialysis equipment. Performs repairs and maintenance to the dialysis equipment. Exercises considerable judgement in applying professional knowledge in solving problems within established policies and practices.
Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
  • Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
  • Completion of a Dialysis Biomed Technician training program: Required

Essential Functions:

  • Performs all repairs and maintenance related to dialysis medical equipment and associated systems. Maintains accurate records related to dialysis equipment.
  • Ensures compliance with Federal, State, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Ensures water used for dialysis meets AAMI requirements with daily monitoring and routine testing. Understands and follows policies and procedures for alternative water supplies.
  • Assists management in maintaining and controlling medical supply inventory.
  • Completes requirements for in-service training. Reviews and trains department staff on equipment operation.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
