Description The Dialysis Technician provides patient care and technical services to adult dialysis patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Nephrology Attending Physician. Schedule: Monday - Friday 7AM - 5PM (Every Other Saturday) Requirements High School diploma or GED. Certified Hemodialysis Practitioner by Bonent or Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician by the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission. BLS required. Two (2) years of hospital related experience (patient care, equipment, or laboratory) with one (1) year of hemodialysis experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Responsibilities
The Dialysis Technician is responsible for providing patient care and technical services to adult dialysis patients. This work is performed under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Nephrology Attending Physician.
