Description
We are seeking a Die Caster to join Delta, British Columbia location/team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Die Cast Operator will be running the Die Cast Machine, and assisting with finishing operations including grinding, deburring, drilling, tapping and vibratory operations. Responsibilities To ensure the die cast machine is running at optimal to produce zero defects Follow all the safety policies of the company, safe working procedures, emergency procedures and accident and safety reporting procedures. Safely, efficiently, and effectively operate & troubleshoot the Die Cast machine Perform finishing operations including, grinding, deburring, drilling, tapping and vibratory operations. Perform general clean up. Assist with Internal/External Audits Perform other duties as assigned or required. Requirements 2 + years experience running a Die Cast machine 2 + years of experience in die set up and tear down Comfortable working unsupervised and to follow process Based on the needs of the business at the time of hire, this position may be required to work a rotational shift: day, afternoon and weekend shift Comfortable working in a labor-intensive environment while standing for most of the day and performing repetitive tasks Completed Grade 12 or equivalent Good dexterity and basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) Occupational First Aid Attendant certified or willingness to do so and comfortable taking any additional training/courses as required Completion of NADCA courses an (Asset) Availability for overtime (Asset) Valid Forklift Operators license (Asset) Hours Monday to Friday Day shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm Please note: All job postings at CMP are aimed at filling existing vacancies within our organization.
