Description Job Overview: The Die Chaser must ensure that our aluminum extrusion production processes run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for delivering the dies listed for the extrusion press, preparing them for production promptly and efficiently, and retrieving dies back to the shop for polishing. Deliver the dies to presses according to schedule and bring back extruded dies for caustic/storage. Run the dies through the caustic solution to clean excess aluminum out of the die. Cut off the remaining aluminum from the die, then break the die down using a die press. Operate hand tools, including hammer and chisel. Fill die ovens with production pick lists of dies promptly. Die storage--die put away and retrieval--taking the dies out of storage. Must handle short durations of high heat temperatures while staging dies into die ovens. Comply with all safety guidelines and adhere to all policies, procedures, rules, quality, and customer service standards. Requirements Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED required 2 -years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment High level of mechanical aptitude Ability to monitor gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure equipment is working correctly Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot mechanical issues Ability to walk and stand for the entirety of shift Ability to lift 50-75 pounds from the floor to a waist-high platform. Must be able to work in seasonal heat Must be able to read, write, and speak English
