Description

Role Summary
Set up, maintain, and operate a Bobst 106 ER or Eterna 106 ER sheet-fed die cutter to produce to customer specs.

Responsibilities

  • Set up sheet-fed die cutter to specification; observe operation, monitor quality, and adjust as needed.
  • Inspect finished product to meet quality specs and customer expectations.
  • Execute make-ready within standard times without damaging tooling/equipment.
  • Validate setup of matrices/counters and mounting to press.
  • Apply knowledge of die making: nicking patterns, rubbering, rubber types for efficiency.
  • Follow all procedures; suggest system improvements when identified.
  • Troubleshoot downtime and quality issues in die cutting.
  • Operate within policies/procedures; comply with OH&S and SafeStart.
  • Record production/operational data (materials processed, make-ready/production times).
  • Transfer materials/products using industrial or hand trucks.
  • Maintain machine/area cleanliness and organization.
  • Add required chemicals/solutions/ingredients per process.
  • Perform routine troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Oversee machine crew; train coworkers on setup and operation.
  • Act as technical resource for new product development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2 5 years sheet-fed die cutting experience (manufacturing & folding carton).
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Read/interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Interpret instructions delivered in writing, orally, by diagram, or schedule.
  • Read tape measure to 1/16”; basic math; some computer skills.
  • Work safely; lift/push/pull 50+ lbs; navigate stairs; stand, walk, bend, kneel for full shift.
  • Motivated, goal-oriented, can-do attitude.
