About the Role: The Die Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of manufacturing dies used in production processes. Minimum Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Proven experience in die maintenance, tool and die repair, or a related manufacturing maintenance role. * Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. * Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. * Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and follow established safety procedures. Preferred Qualifications: * Technical certification or vocational training in tool and die making or industrial maintenance. * Experience with CNC machinery and programming related to die maintenance. * Familiarity with welding, brazing, and metal fabrication techniques. * Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities: * Perform routine inspections and maintenance on dies to identify wear, damage, or misalignment. * Diagnose and repair die components, including cutting, grinding, welding, and polishing as needed. * Collaborate with production staff to quickly resolve die-related issues and minimize production delays. * Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used for each die. * Assist in the setup and adjustment of dies during production changeovers to ensure proper operation. * Implement preventive maintenance schedules to extend die life and improve reliability. * Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards during all maintenance activities.
