Job Purpose Lead die maintenance activities within Ferrous Manufacturing Department with focus on achievement of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost characteristics. Specific responsibilities include leadership of die service staff and technicians, technical guidance for manufacturing lines, and managing overall die maintenance activities. This position will ensure that dies will be ready for production and monitor die performance during production. Key Accountabilities Complete in-depth gap analysis studies on any Die or Quick Cast related issues. Finding root cause and ensuring we are following through with the implementation of an effective solution/counter measure Manage a team of technicians, providing direction, training, and offering support. Work closely with in-house Engineering and Quality groups on the development of New Model and continuous quality improvement. Develop and manage inventory and budgetary plans based off production schedules. Staying up to date with emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for enhancing equipment performance, efficiency and effectiveness. Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience 2-8 years manufacturing experience (automotive preferred). 2+ years of Equipment Die Service or Die Maintenance Die Maintenance understanding (TIG welding, Blueprints, basic knowledge of GD&T, Precision measuring equipment, etc) Strong written and verbal skills Strong use of Microsoft Office Working Conditions Onsite workstyle (50% office, 50% manufacturing area 5% travel (domestic or international) 5-10 hours per week overtime What differentiates Honda and makes us an employer of choice?
