About this Position: This position supports the maintenance of Low Pressure Die Cast Cylinder Head Dies and Sand Mold Core Making Dies. This includes the support of other Die Service Technicians, Staff and Team Leaders, and working with Production and Engineering teams to improve die maintenance and part quality characteristics. Responsibilities include: Support equipment / die downtime in a dynamic fast-paced environment Develop and support equipment / die improvement projects Support weekend and shutdown equipment / die activity Support training of other equipment / die associates Support of the engineering group in short / long term projects Who we are seeking: Required Work Experience: Preferred 2 years in the mechanical and/or die mold maintenance field – Co Op acceptable TIG welding experience required Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Desired skills: Welding, Machining, Hand Finishing, Blueprint Reading Additional Position Factors: Workstyle: Onsite Work in production environment requiring personal protective equipment and lockout in manufacturing operations Working near molten aluminum, hydraulic oils, cutting lubricants Hands-on investigation and troubleshooting of product & die to countermeasure issues and to determine improvement activity Working with hand/power tools, quality gauging and instrumentation 90% manufacturing lineside activity / 10% office environment 10-15 hours overtime per week Possible weekend or off shift support as necessary Travel 5% (domestic) At Honda, you will play a key role in our journey to become a company that society wants to exist now, and in the future.
