Shift: 1st Starting Hourly Wage: $26.00+ Bonus: $1,500 Sign-On Bonus Plant/Work Location Address: Noblesville, IN Since 1951, The Gund Company has been a family-owned manufacturer and fabricator of engineered material solutions specializing in customized electrical insulation parts. Job Summary Die Setter Die setter is responsible for installing, aligning, adjusting, and removing dies used in mechanical stamping presses. Dies are precision tools designed to cut and form non-metallic material. This role ensures that production equipment is properly prepared to meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards. The Die Setter works closely with machine operators, supervisors, and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and ensure consistent product output. Duties Die Setter Installing dies into mechanical stamping presses Aligning and securing dies to exact specifications Adjusting settings (ram, timing, stroke length) Inspect sample parts to ensure quality and tolerances are met Troubleshooting defects like misalignment, cracks, or incomplete formation Maintaining and inspecting dies for wear or damage Following safety procedures due to heavy tooling and high-force equipment Other duties as assigned. Requirements 2+ years of prior hands on experience A High School Diploma or GED, vocational or job-related course work/training Mechanical aptitude Blueprint and technical drawing reading Precision measuring (calipers, micrometers, gauges) Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems Preferred: Associates technical degree Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred. Environment · Not climate controlled and subject to outdoor weather conditions. · Team members are exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting. · Frequent exposure to fumes/dust/chemical particles, may require use of respirators or other types of PPE. · Employees must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
