Job Description We are looking for a Workshop Mechanic to join our Te Kuiti workshop team. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our fleet is serviced, maintained and repaired to a high standard, safely and efficiently. Your day-to-day will include: Carry out maintenance and repairs on diesel equipment, including trucks, excavators, loaders, and other construction machinery. Conduct regular inspections to identify any issues proactively on our plant & equipment. Perform off site service/repairs as required. Maintaining a tidy, well-organised, and efficient workshop. Leading by example in health & safety, quality standards, and Zero Harm principles Qualifications You are a practical, hands-on Mechanic who takes pride in your workmanship and enjoys being part of a supportive, team-focused environment. You’re organised, safety-conscious, and communicate clearly with those around you. Ideally you will bring; Trade qualified in either diesel or automotive engineering Experience in the heavy transport or construction industry would be advantageous A clean current NZ driver’s licence - minimum Class 4 A high standard of workmanship with accurate reporting and paperwork completion Strong communication skills, a solid work ethic, and good time management Ability to work both independently and as part of a team and a positive, team-first attitude Additional Information What’s in it for You Full-time role with a respected local employer working Monday – Friday 7.30am to 5pm, no weekend work.
