Description

Regional Group are currently seeking experienced Diesel Fitters to join our team in Gladstone, Queensland.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct the servicing, maintenance, and repairs on Regional Group equipment including trucks, dozers, graders compactors, rollers, excavators, and posi-tracks.
  • Work within workshop rules and regulations at all times.
  • Liaising with direct managers, supervisors and managers daily.
  • Thoroughly diagnose and repair faults.
  • Work to tight schedules whilst maintaining the highest standards.
  • Adopt and continue with Lean practices to ensure quality and cost efficiency with all repairs and maintenance.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:

  • Current drivers licence (HR preferred but not essential).
  • Fully qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
  • Confident in all aspects of Plant repairs.
  • Sound knowledge of diesel engines and emissions.
  • Sound knowledge of drivetrain, brakes and suspension.
  • Basic auto electrical knowledge.
  • Competent with computers and digital diagnostics.
  • Outstanding work ethic and commitment to getting the job done.
  • Strong commitment to Work Health and Safety.
  • A team player who is action focused and result-oriented, who quickly comes up to speed on repairs and priority breakdowns.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
