Description This is a direct placement, full time position with White Tank & Truck Repair. Shifts Available: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM 40 Hours/Week, Overtime Available Position Overview White Tank & Truck Repair is hiring a Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Belleville, IL. We specialize in late-model Freightliner and Kenworth (Paccar) Class 8 trucks and have the capability to perform nearly any repair on semi tractors. This position focuses heavily on advanced diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and major component repair. Full access to industry-leading diagnostic software, including Paccar Davie, Freightliner Diagnostic Link, and JPro, is available to support accurate and efficient troubleshooting. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys solving complex mechanical and electrical issues in a clean, organized, team-focused shop. Compensation Entry-Level Mechanic: $20.61/hour Eligible for 5% increase every 6 months Veteran Mechanic: Up to $34.35/hour Additional $3.00–$3.50/hour premium pay for advanced skill sets Overtime paid at time-and-a-half Annual wage increases Benefits Fully paid health insurance $750 family deductible 401(k) with company contributions (no match required) Paid training opportunities Stable, long-term employment Responsibilities Diagnose and repair late-model Freightliner and Kenworth (Paccar) Class 8 trucks Electrical diagnosis of fault codes and check engine issues Advanced troubleshooting and repair Perform preventative maintenance services Brake, suspension, valve, gasket, and hose repairs Engine, aftertreatment, and emissions diagnostics Oil changes and lubrication services Air leak diagnostics Tire repair and replacement Qualifications Experience working on Freightliner and/or Kenworth trucks preferred Strong electrical and diagnostic skills Experience using OEM diagnostic software preferred Dependable with strong work ethic Team-oriented CDL helpful but not required
