DIESEL MECHANIC LOCATION: DOUGLAS, GA JOB DESCRIPTION We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Douglas, GA. The ideal candidate will have experience working on diesel-powered garbage trucks and be capable of performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure our fleet operates efficiently and safely. RESPONSIBILITIES * Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel garbage trucks. * Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using appropriate tools and equipment. * Repair or replace defective parts including engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems. * Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed. * Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. * Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical problems. * Keep work area clean and organized. QUALIFICATIONS * Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, specifically with garbage trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles. * Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems. * Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. * Proficient with diagnostic tools and equipment. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
