Job Description DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Diesel Mechanic with a strong work ethic and solid diagnostic experience. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel trucks and heavy equipment under the direction of the Shop Manager. The ideal candidate is experienced, dependable, and takes pride in quality workmanship. Shop Location: Hazleton PA. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment Perform inspections and preventive maintenance Repair or replace major components including engines, drivetrains, hydraulics, electrical, fuel, brake, and suspension systems Conduct test drives to verify repairs Respond to field service calls as needed Assist with fabrication and equipment builds Maintain accurate repair records and shop organization Follow all safety and compliance standards Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required Technical training in Diesel Mechanics preferred Experience & Requirements: Valid driver’s license with 5 years of a clean driving record Class B CDL preferred Minimum 5 years of diesel repair experience Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Welding/fabrication experience required Experience working on sweepers, catch basin trucks, tractors, and heavy equipment Ability to travel and work overtime as needed Must have your own tools Additional Information Benefit Highlights: Challenging and rewarding work environment Competitive Compensation Excellent Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug Plan 401(K) Generous Paid Time Off Career Development Employee referral program Pay rate: $20-30/ hour depending on experience.
