Description Omni-Serv, a Group One Company, is currently seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with diesel engines and a strong desire to provide exceptional service to our customers. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and vehicles. Compensation: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour (Based on experience), medical, vision, dental, life insurance, 401k Shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday to Friday Responsibilities Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel engines and related vehicle systems Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure vehicle reliability and performance Identify mechanical and electrical issues through troubleshooting and testing procedures Utilize diagnostic equipment and tools to accurately detect and address faults Execute engine overhauls and complete rebuilds in accordance with manufacturer specifications Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all maintenance and repair activities Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure workflow efficiency Comply with all safety protocols, regulations, and company procedures to maintain a safe working environment Requirements Successful completion of a diesel mechanic training program or equivalent hands-on experience in the field Strong knowledge of diesel engines and vehicles Ability to diagnose and repair diesel engines and vehicles Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and customer service skills Must have a valid US driver's license with at least 3 years of experience- approvals and final decision is subjected to our automobile insurance carrier's criteria Physical Requirements: Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat for extended periods Dexterity and hand-eye coordination crucial for use of tools and working on engine components Must be able lift up-to 50 pounds unassisted
