Are you a diesel / HGV mechanic and looking for something new?
Capital Pleasure Boats and CPBS Marine Services are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with experience of working with large diesel engines to join our friendly engineering team.
Marine experience is not essential, only a willingness to learn.
Start date: ASAP
Job location: Our engineering base is at Temple Pier, Central London but this position will include attending vessels working at other locations to carry out servicing/ repairs/ inspections.
Hours: Times may vary but generally 07:00-15:00 Mon-Fri (40 hours per week) plus opportunity for overtime

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

We are seeking a practical and skilled person with a can-do attitude able to work independently with large diesel engines and plant. Reporting to the company Chief engineer.

FROM £37440 PER YEAR DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE AND ABILITY WITH OPPORTUNITIES FOR OVERTIME.

• Fault-finding, repair and maintenance of large marine diesel engines and equipment
• General vessel maintenance
• Preparing vessels for surveys and inspections
• Assisting with updating engineering records
• Monthly Planned Maintenance checks and engine servicing
• Assisting with sourcing and ordering parts/ stores
• Working as an onboard engineer if required
• Assisting during drydockings
