HEAVY VEHICLE DIESEL MECHANIC Join Australia’s Leading Sustainable Materials Supplier. We are looking for a Senior Diesel Mechanic and a full-time Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our team. Working out of our Laverton North Workshop, you’ll be maintaining and repairing our road transport fleet. In this role, you will: Repair and maintain our transport fleet Inspect and diagnose faults and the condition of our vehicles Identify any worn or damaged parts Carry out preventative maintenance services, maintaining vehicle records Complete and submit the necessary paperwork and reports What’s in it for you: From $45/hour, pending experience, plus penalties, plus super Up to $60/hour for a Senior Mechanic Monday to Friday day shift, standard hours 6:00am – 3:30pm with additional overtime available Saturday shifts on offer, but not mandatory All uniform and equipment supplied An unwavering safety culture, and a great team to work with Ongoing training and development, in transport and other disciplines Opportunities for flexible working arrangements This role is a great fit if you: Are a qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic Hold a valid white card, or willing to obtain one Have a commitment to safety Have experience with heavy equipment, such as trucks and earthmoving equipment (preferred) Experience with Kenworth/Mack/Volvo equipment preferred, not essential Like working in a clean, modern, and well-lit workshop Want to work with a great team All successful applicants will be required to complete a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol screening. Random drug and alcohol tests are conducted on all Alex Fraser premises. Responsibilities
