QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • · High school diploma with minimum of 5 years’ working experience
  • · Basic set of hand tools required
  • · Organizational, Interpersonal, and communication skills
  • · Strong work ethic, to work independently and within team
  • · A wide array of knowledge and experience with tools
  • · Familiar with the latest vehicle diagnostic equipment
  • · Experience in preventative maintenance including electrical, interior, air brake, tire, and body maintenance
  • · Ability to multitask and prioritize workloads while thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • · Working in a Computerized Maintenance Management Systems in as asset.
  • · Must hold a Valid Class 5 Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Maintain, inspect, service, test and repairs all systems, mobile equipment and vehicles used in plant, yard and road service. Ex: Forklifts, telehandler, dozers, excavators, and drilling equipment.
  • Make the evaluation of parts for reuse, repair or replacement;
  • Work to blueprints, schematic drawings, service manual and other like information. Adapts to new methods, processes, material and equipment;
  • Inspect, repair, and troubleshoot diesel engines;
  • Assist with Parts ordering;
  • Work with Hydraulics;
  • Perform adjustment and calibration to mechanical components;
  • Perform modification and construct mechanical assemblies;
  • Perform maintenance and low voltage repairs of electrical systems;
  • Use various hand and power hand tools;
  • Operate equipment such as overhead or mobile cranes and forklifts to assist in assignments;
  • Adapts to new methods, processes, material and equipment.

NOTE: TRAVEL WILL BE REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE AT TIMES
