We are seeking a qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our Repairs & Service Team. You will be responsible for maintenance, repairs and servicing of road transport equipment including pre-delivery and accessories fitment in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations and repair orders instructions, to meet specified quality, safety and general performance criteria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems
  • Ability to repair, service, replace diesel engines, brakes, electrical and fuel systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Excellent safety first mindset and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent Quality of work at a highest standard

About You

  • Unrestricted Australian Working Rights
  • Demonstrated experience working on heavy diesel vehicles
  • Demonstrated to have sense of urgency in the work to complete work within the timeframe
  • Will have an excellent safety mindset
  • Has a mindset of a coach/ mentor to support and train Apprentices, Trades Assistants, Work Experience and so on
  • Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or a Certificate III in Automotive Diesel Engine Technology (Australian Recognised Heavy Vehicle Mechanics)
