Job Purpose Assist with maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing fleet vehicles. Tasks Diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining vehicles, equipment, or machinery. This includes performing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs as needed. Conducting inspections, tests, and diagnostic procedures to identify issues and determine the required repairs or maintenance tasks. This may involve using diagnostic equipment, tools, and computerized systems. Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and other scheduled services to ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of vehicles or equipment. Identifying and sourcing necessary parts, components, and materials for repairs. Keeping track of inventory levels and maintaining a well-organized and stocked supply of parts. Accurately documenting all repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts used. This includes maintaining records of service and repair histories, creating work orders, and providing reports as needed. Adhering to safety protocols, following proper procedures, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards in the automotive or equipment industry. Maintaining and caring for tools, equipment, and machinery used in the repair and maintenance processes. This includes regular cleaning, calibration, and ensuring proper functionality. Identifying and resolving technical issues or malfunctions by using problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, and appropriate diagnostic methods. Working collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate repairs, share information, and ensure efficient workflow. Assisting and providing guidance to junior mechanics, apprentices, or colleagues in developing their skills and knowledge in automotive or equipment maintenance and repair.
