We’re seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Bishop, CA who can perform repairs and inspections on heavy and light duty diesel vehicles and trailers. DIESEL MECHANIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with a solid understanding of diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment.
  • ASE certification preferred, but not required (Employer will pay for training/ certification if willing to get ASE certified).
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow safety guidelines.
  • Willingness to relocate to Bishop, CA, and become part of a growing community.
  • Has own toolbox
  • High school degree or equivalent and a valid driver’s license
  • Computer literate
  • Eligible to work in the United States
Responsibilities
  • Diagnose defects in heavy-duty equipment and identify the necessary parts for repair.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related components.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records and schedules for all maintenance activities.
  • Comply with equipment permitting requirements to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
  • Attend employer paid training workshops to stay current on innovations in equipment operations and repair techniques.
  • Navigate parts inventory databases to ensure timely procurement of materials.
  • Perform welding operations as necessary for equipment repairs.
  • Report unsafe conditions and injuries promptly to facilitate immediate action and prevent further issues.
  • Continuously strive to improve operations, reduce turnaround times, and provide top-quality service to our customers.
