Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for experienced Heavy-Duty Diesel Fitters to join our Whyalla maintenance team. You’ll carry out diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on mobile plant and heavy equipment—ensuring reliable operations that support critical mining and industrial processes.
Hands-on and safety-focused, this role involves working closely with the Maintenance Manager and team to boost equipment availability and drive operational efficiency.

KEY DUTIES:

  • Maintain and repair mobile plant and heavy vehicles
  • Diagnose faults in diesel, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Complete accurate work orders and records
  • Support preventative maintenance programs
  • Source and replace parts
  • Uphold workshop cleanliness and safety
  • Follow set maintenance schedules
  • Respond to alarms and incidents safely
