Contact our team of in-house Recruiters: 1-866-8-TRIMAC Pay Details Starting at $30.00 per hour Schedule Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers while utilizing personal safety equipment as required. Move trucks and trailers in and out of the shop for maintenance Open repair orders and charge the appropriate parts to the repair order Perform tire inspections/appropriate paperwork to company standards Performs shop clean-up and housekeeping responsibilities as well as other miscellaneous-related duties as assigned. Inspects and maintains basic vehicle/accessorial worthiness including proper fuel levels and tire air pressure, fluid levels, brakes, lights, and safety equipment, and submits reports indicating the condition of equipment. Comprehend and perform the Driver Vehicle Inspection Repair (DVIR) process Diagnose and repair: Tire/wheel, Brakes & Air Systems, Clutch & Linkage, Mud flaps/hangers, Air intake system, Start, charging, and electrical systems, Landing gear and attachments, In transit heat systems, Install, diagnose, and repair e-log system, Perform trailer preps Trailer and hose inspections per HM183 standards Possesses and demonstrates the ability to perform assigned tasks in a manner that adheres to the company's Safety, Health, Environmental, and Security policies. Qualifications Must have a valid driver’s license Hands-on experience with JRPO (diagnostics system) Experience working on chemical trailers (recommended) 4+ years experience with commercial diesel tractors (Cummins, Detroit, Peterbilt, Kenworth) Ability to provide own basic hand tools Basic computer skills Ability to read and comprehend service manuals Knowledge of tools and equipment used in the shop to repair and maintain company equipment Advanced knowledge of tractor and trailer maintenance Knowledge of D.O.T. regulations and out-of-service parameters for tractors, trailers, and accessorial equipment.
