Job Overview: As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of oilfield equipment. Your role is crucial to ensuring the continuous operation and safety of our equipment, which includes trucks, pumps, generators, and other machinery used in oilfield operations. Key Responsibilities/Duties: Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on oilfield equipment, including semi’s, heavy equipment, tractor-trailers, compressors, and generators. Diagnostics: Diagnose mechanical issues using various tools and techniques to identify problems and implement effective solutions. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and ensure equipment is compliant with industry standards. Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and time spent on each task. Collaboration: Work closely with other mechanics and field personnel to address equipment issues and ensure efficient operation of oilfield equipment. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of parts and tools, ensuring that necessary supplies are stocked and available for repairs. Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair situations as needed. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic, with experience in oilfield or heavy equipment repair preferred. Skills: Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, with a strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Certification: Relevant certifications or licenses in automotive or diesel mechanics are a plus. Tools: Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment effectively. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy parts and working in various weather conditions. Shift Availability: Must be available to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays as required. Communication: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Requirements: - Proven experience as a mechanic or similar role. - Proficient in using power tools and hand tools. - Strong knowledge of automotive repair techniques. - Familiarity with tractor-trailers, forklifts, and other heavy equipment. - Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively. - Experience with brake repairs and wheel alignments. - Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks. - Excellent problem-solving skills. - Strong attention to detail.
