THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Foreman to oversee fleet maintenance and lead our dedicated workshop team at Tamworth Buslines. This is a senior, hands-on role ideal for a trade-qualified heavy vehicle mechanic with supervisory experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing scheduled servicing and repairs
  • Leading and supervising workshop staff
  • Ensuring WH&S and compliance standards are met
  • Ordering parts and managing stock levels
  • Maintaining accurate service records

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS

All employment is subject to pre-employment checks, including a medical assessment, drug and alcohol testing, driver licence and right to work checks.

Responsibilities

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:

  • A Motor Vehicle Tradesperson Certificate (MVTC) – Essential
  • Trade qualification as a heavy vehicle mechanic
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar supervisory or foreman role
  • A current Heavy Vehicle Driver Licence (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills
  • High attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
