BDS Mechanical PTY LTD is expanding and currently on the lookout for Diesel Mechanics, Diesel Fitters and Auto Electricians to join our team. All of our positions are full time or casual and include Local, DIDO and FIFO opportunities with various rosters to suit your lifestyle.

ABOUT US:

BDS Mechanical Repairs is a privately owned and growing business that offers mechanical, auto electrical and welding repairs both in house and onsite with 22 fixed workshop locations throughout Queensland. We have over 160 field service units and the team at BDS cover over 600,000 km2 of Queensland and Western Australia, meaning we’re never too far away.

YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE (DIESEL MECHANICS/FITTERS):

• Diesel engine diagnostics & repair, major and minor rebuilds
• General Repairs/maintenance works – Trucks & Trailers/4×4’s
• Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems
• Earthmoving and mobile plant experience a bonus
• Checking vehicle lighting systems
• Test driving vehicles to gauge performance
• Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist

YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE (AUTO ELECTRICIAN):

• Installing new vehicle wiring systems.
• Installing and troubleshooting immobilizer and alarm systems.
• Gathering information from customers about issues with their electrical system.
• Diagnosing electrical issues and proposing a course of action.
• Providing customers with estimated time and cost for repairs.
• Repairing and replacing faulty wiring or electrical systems.
• Servicing of electrical automotive parts
