Seeking a Diesel Technician Apprentice with strong mechanical aptitude, a proactive learning mindset, and the ability to tackle hands‑on challenges in a dynamic maintenance environment. Here’s a summary of what our team in Ketchikan Transportation Operations is looking for in its Apprentice. Is this you? Responsibilities * Routinely performs repairs and preventative maintenance tasks on our fleet of motorcoaches, bag trucks and light duty vehicles under the supervision of a journeyman Technician. * 144 hours of LMS MCI Training and other online learning opportunities to be completed every year from year 1 to 4. * Complete 2000 hours annually of on-the-job learning. * Document all OJT hours daily on provided timecard to meet the federal requirements for record keeping. * Obtain 608/609 HVAC certification at minimum 609 MVAC and CDL. * Facility Maintenance – clean, repair and maintain facility, grounds, work areas, company tools and equipment. * Performs other duties as assigned Requirements * High school diploma or GED * Valid driver's license Commercial Driver’s License or Ability to Obtain Class B w/ Air Brake Restriction Removed & Passenger Endorsement. * Willingness to learn the trade. * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
