Job Description 2024 USA Today Top Workplace! Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders on Diesel and Gas Vehicles with efficiency and in accordance with Ford and/or dealership standards. Certified Diesel Technicians diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification. Provide estimates for additional automotive repairs and recommended maintenance. Fully understands and carries out repair orders as dispatched. Performs quality control checks to ensure repairs are completed. Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards. Follows all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules. Communicates effectively with Service Advisor and Parts department personnel Participates in company and Ford Certification training and education to further develop expertise. Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Post-secondary automotive training or equivalent work experience and Ford Diesel Certification preferred One year of dealer-level, truck, or large facility experience preferred Broad scope of automotive mechanical/electrical knowledge Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff Highly professional and dependable Safety and customer service oriented Basic computer and internet skills Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
