A well-established and reputable employer is urgently hiring Licensed Diesel Truck Technician to join their growing team near Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Mechanics will play a crucial role in conducting inspections, services, and repairs on a variety of Heavy-Duty Trucks and Trailers.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Interprovincial Red Seal License is required
• Experience working on Commercial Trucks
• Diesel engine repair experience.
• Understanding of electrical systems and emissions/after treatment systems, engine diagnostic software (Detroit, Cummins, Volvo).
• Strong character & work ethic with a positive attitude.
• Able to demonstrate you are organized, responsible, independent, resourceful, and dynamic
• A valid driver’s license is required
• Knowledge of provincial Inspections
• Must possess own set of tools

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to maintenance, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of suspension, brake, and air systems on Tractors and Trailers. Mechanics will review and assist with repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports, complete documents related to the maintenance reports and documentation, and perform maintenance-related work as required while maintaining a clean, safe work area.
