Description
1. Maintains and demonstrates knowledge of therapeutic diets and modification of menus 2. Maintains and demonstrates knowledge of Food Service department policies and procedures 3 Maintains and demonstrates knowledge of food sanitation techniques a. Uses MSDS as reference to avoid injury from chemical uses b. Knows what chemicals are used for which jobs c. Ensures adequate sanitation is maintained throughout shifty by completing sanitation assignments  4. Demonstrates the ability to keep an adequate supply of items on hand (paper goods, food, sodas, juices, condiments) a. Reports shortages of any item to management b. Restocks all items; condiments, paper goods, food, sodas, juices, etc  5. Accurately tallies menu items for production  6. Answers diet telephone and documents all messages. Maintains all necessary logs: telephone; meals for Endoscopy, Ambulatory, Emergency room, In-patients; guest trays, daily census sheets. Takes any changes in diet immediately, informs the other diet aides and cafeteria aides of any late trays in a timely manner. 7. Heads patient menus. Makes modifications as needed based on diet prescription or preferences. Sorts menus for the start of trayline. 8. Works in the cafeteria, café, or MD lounge as needed.  9. Maintains a clean and organized diet office.  10. Sets up meetings and MD lounge as needed. Performs other assignments as needed.
