Description The Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting the cook as well as the Dietary Director in preparation of meals according to dietary guidelines for the individuals. The Dietary Aide will also assist in the receiving and storing the food and supplies ordered for the Dietary Department and the cleaning of the dietary department. This position will work closely with other staff members to ensure a healthy and safe environment for the individuals utilizing a person-centered approach to assist the individuals in fulfilling their desires and needs for an independent life. Requirements High school graduate or equivalent education is preferred. Ability to read, understand and follow recipe directions, diet orders, and work assignments. Must be able to take instructions and follow through on instructions. Prior experience in the food service industry preferred.

Responsibilities

The Dietary Aide assists the cook and Dietary Director in preparing meals according to established dietary guidelines for individuals. This role also involves assisting with receiving and storing food and supplies, and maintaining the cleanliness of the dietary department.
