If you’re looking for a different perspective on healthcare and senior living come join us today!   You will enjoy: * Comprehensive health insurance * Dental insurance * Vision insurance * Accident insurance * Short-term disability insurance * Supplemental life insurance * Personal life insurance * Paid time off starting at 128 hours your first year * Tuition reimbursement & scholarship opportunities * Access to a 403(b) Retirement Savings Plan with a Carillon match * Employee Referral Program resulting in $300 for each successful employment referral * Offering Everyday Pay! * Your personal and professional growth is important to us, so we provide continual professional training and career advancement opportunities. * You will enjoy being part of a great team in a fun, engaging work environment!   Who you are: * Has effective communication skills, both oral and written * High school diploma/GED preferred * Minimum of one year restaurant/senior living or equivalent Dietary Aide experience * Able to see, hear, and communicate clearly * Able to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers  * Has empathy for the elderly * Able to plan and organize work, set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders and interpret specifications and standards * Able to stand/walk for 100% of the workday * Able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. independently * Able to push and pull tray/bus/transport carts weighing up to 150 lbs. independently * Able to bend, stoop, reach, and balance frequently throughout the workday * May be exposed to extreme temperatures from the ovens and freezers * May be exposed to industrial cleaning chemicals     Summary: The Dietary Aide is responsible for preparing and serving therapeutic diet trays to health center residents in accordance with posted therapeutic diet menus.   Job Expectations: * Exemplify at all times Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and operational organization * Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance and presentation standards at all times * Produce and serve menu cycle programs that are compliant with required Nutritional/Dietary criteria as required by local regulations and correctly prepare diets provided per Policy and Procedure * Exhibit cooking standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency * Demonstrate knowledge in all areas of cooking preparation and production * Assist with serving of meals and ware washing as necessary * Represent the community in a warm and inviting manner, which creates a positive marketing environment * Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy * Prepares therapeutic desserts and salads as required * Serves meals in the health center * Sets up kitchenette(s) in the health center dining room and breaks down same after meal * Transports hot and cold foods to and from the health center * Transports all required non-food items to and from the health center * Documents food temperatures on a regular basis; adjusting temperatures if necessary * Maintains assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition. * Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by supervisor * Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned * Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor   Hospitality Focus: Carillon Senior Living fully embraces a culture of hospitality.  To that end, we include the following hospitality promises as a guide for our interpersonal interactions with residents, co-workers, and guests:  1. Responsibilities
The Dietary Aide is primarily responsible for preparing and serving therapeutic diet trays to health center residents according to posted menus and adhering to all food quality and presentation standards.
