We are hiring for part time and full time Dietary Aids to work both days and evenings

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

  • Proven experience as a dietary aide
  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff, residents, visitors
  • Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
  • Experience with basic nutrition and special diets
  • Experience with industrial appliances
  • Friendly with good communication skills
  • Good physical condition and stamina
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus
  • Food Handlers Certificate

REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO STARTING:

· Valid Vulnerable Sector Check
· Recent TB test
· Complete mandatory training

Responsibilities
  • Operation of an industrial dishwasher
  • Set up tables or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order
  • To effectively work along side the dietary manager or cook
  • Assist with tray service as needed
  • Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses etc.
  • Food Clean up and garbage allocation
  • Clean food production areas and wash dishes, cooking equipment and silverware
  • Stock
  • Help maintain kitchen equipment and appliances
