POSITION SUMMARY

The Dietary aide provides person centered care to residents to promote the comfort, safety and quality of life of the residents of Finlandia Nursing Home/Finlandia Village. Under the direction of the Director of Food Services responsible for the delivery and serving of meals to residents and the cleanliness of the servery, dining room and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Food Handler Certificate
· Finnish speaking skill is considered an asset
· An acceptable Police Vulnerable Sector Check verified within the past six months
· 2-step TB test within the past six months

· Delivers and serves meals by following procedures and schedules
· Liaises with assisted living staff to ensure resident receives correct diet order and food preferences
· Prepares sandwiches, salads and snacks following proper procedures and sanitary guidelines
· Follows safe food handling and storage practices
· Other duties as assigned
