Reporting to the Culinary Services Manager, the Dietary Aide position is a critical role that provides our residents with nutritional care and assists in all aspects of food service assembly.

Responsibilities
  • Supports all aspects of optimal food services to meet the needs of our residents in accordance with infection control, quality management, legislative requirements and Company’s policies and protocols.
  • Assisting in the preparation and plating of meals based on the nutritional care plan, preferences and diet plan of the resident.
  • Transferring of food into food carts and serving meals, desserts and beverages to residents.
  • Receives, stores and manages the inventory of residents’ food and food service supplies.
  • Setting and clearing of tables in the dining room.
  • Daily cleaning and sanitization of dishes and utensils used for meal preparation.
  • Maintains cleanliness of the kitchen, food storage area, dining room, equipment, counters, etc.
  • Provides setup service for tray delivery in accordance with direction from Registered Nursing staff.
  • Works in accordance with the organization’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
