Description Summary While upholding the Star Valley Health mission, vision, and values this key position is responsible for supporting the operations of SV Health through providing quality customer service and meals to residents, patients, visitors, and staff. The areas of influence would include but are not limited to the Swift Crick Café, Care Center Dining Room, patient meals, and caterings on behalf of the facility. This is an at-will position. Job Duties Work Directly with Cooks, other food servers, and Dietary Director to provide quality food service to our patients, residents, and guests. Understand the dietary values and portions of menus to meet quality and nutritional needs Ensure a clean, safe and functional work environment Follow proper standards for personal hygiene, hair cover, and sanitation Work safely with equipment and when lifting Transports and delivers food items and catering supplies to sites of catered functions, nutritional storerooms, and doctor lounges. Comply with HIPAA and other federal, state and local regulations as well, as maintain the highest degree of confidentiality in patient, visitor and staff matters Attend training classes as scheduled Other assignments as delegated Requirements Requirements Abilities & Skills: Ability to follow oral and written communication Maintain a working relationship with other employees within the department and other departments Strong multi-tasking skills with the ease of changing directions upon request and need Aptitude to work around patients/residents with respect to their situation Demonstrate dependability, ability to follow directions, exhibit initiative and willingness to work and increase knowledge Multi-task with extreme attention to detail Maintain confidentiality with residents and patients Maintain a positive, team work environment Adaptable to work in a team environment or individually Constant standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending and reaching throughout the workday Able to lift twenty-five (25) pounds regularly Experience & Education: Strong work ethic and attention to detail High School Diploma or GED equivalent desired Commercial foodservice desired Note: Position descriptions are intended to serve as a guideline for typical duties and requirements of a position, but are not inclusive.
