Dietary and Food Cook Full-time position available $17.00-$19.00/hour (based on experience) 10-hour shifts: 7:00 am to 5:30 pm 2 hours of overtime pay each shift Food handler’s certificate required Valid driver's license (in good standing) required Full benefits package for full-time employees (medical, dental and vision insurance, 401K, life insurance, FSA/HSA accounts and more!) Full-time Schedule Week 1: Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday Repeat San Dimas, CA 15-bed NeuroRestorative facility located on Puente St. In-patient residential setting sub-acute physical rehab Low patient ratios On-demand pay via Dayforce Wallet Responsibilities: Clean and maintain kitchen and other work areas so that health standards are met and the home is neat and debris-free. Maintain and clean counter and floor surfaces, and empty trash receptacles. Follow universal precautions and procedures regarding cleaners, hazardous materials, and infection control. Disinfect equipment and supplies. Purchase groceries and kitchen supplies Review work orders to determine type and quantities of food to be prepared Prepare, season, and cook food Carve portions of meat, fish, or fowl for individual servings Inspect food storage and directs sanitary maintenance of kitchen and storage facilities Oversee and coordinate activities of kitchen workers preparing and cooking foods Plan and review menus Determine food quantities, labor, and overhead costs Qualifications: Current food handler’s certificate Kitchen/restaurant and/or cook experience required (preferably in healthcare) Janitorial/cleaning experience required Valid driver’s license in good standing A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach An acute attention to detail Why Join Us? Responsibilities
