Description Job Description: Dietary Assistant (Part - Time) As a Dietary Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of meals to our patients and residents. You will work closely with our dietary team to ensure that our patients receive high-quality, nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs. Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to patients and residents Follow dietary guidelines and restrictions to ensure that meals meet the needs of each patient Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area Assist with inventory management and ordering of food and supplies Communicate effectively with patients, residents, and staff to ensure that dietary needs are met Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines Requirements Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in a dietary or food service role preferred Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical and Sensory Requirements: Moderate physical activity: Push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds to a minimum height of three (3) feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of fifty (50) feet. Standing and/or walking for more than eight (8) hours per day. Bending and/or stooping for more than one (1) hour at a time.
Responsibilities
The Dietary Assistant is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals to patients while adhering to dietary guidelines and restrictions. They also maintain kitchen cleanliness, manage inventory, and communicate effectively with staff and residents.
