Description Job Title: Dietary Services Director Job Type: Full-time The Dietary Services Director will be responsible for overseeing the dietary department and ensuring that all meals are prepared and served in a safe, healthy, and timely manner. Responsibilities: Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of residents/patients Ensure that all meals are prepared and served in accordance with dietary restrictions and preferences Manage and train dietary staff to ensure that they are providing high-quality service Maintain inventory of food and supplies, and order as needed Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and in good working order Monitor and maintain food safety and sanitation standards Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents/patients and their families Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all dietary needs are met Requirements Job Requirements: Must be a Registered Dietician, Diet Technician, or previous Dietary Director, meeting the requirements established by the State Regulatory Agency. Must possess, at minimum, a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification. Minimum of three (3) years related experience. One (1) to two (2) years management/supervisory experience required. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations Strong leadership and management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Physical and Sensory Requirements: Moderate physical activity: Push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds to a minimum height of three (3) feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of fifty (50) feet. Standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day. Bending and/or stooping for more than one (1) hour at a time. Sitting for more than two (2) hours at a time. Requires computer work with repetitive typing and concentrating on computer screen.
