Description
Description The Dietary Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for supervising Dietary Services staff and maintaining daily operations as directed by the Dietary Services Manager. This is a salaried exempt position. Schedule: 5:30am-1:30pm: Monday thru Friday weekends as needed Contributions: Be knowledgeable about the different diets and consistencies of food prepared for the individuals. Develop, cross train, monitor, and counsel staff to ensure the correct food items and consistency of food items are being prepared and delivered. Oversee and assist with all food production and food quality checks as needed. Assist with the supervision of Dietary Services workers. Work directly with Adult Training Facility (ATF) assigned staff within their service time frames. Perform in-services and oversee the training of all newly hired Dietary Services workers. Oversee and assist with kitchen sanitation. Assist with special functions and events for individuals and staff (i.e., birthday dinners) and company functions. Assist with the inventory of kitchen supplies and with ordering as assigned. Maintain records of food and equipment temperatures. Perform other duties as required. Must possess the ability to train, supervise, and evaluate employees. Must establish an effective working relationship with all those with whom the Department comes in contact. Must demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills. Minimum Training and Experience: Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Must possess and maintain Certification in Food Safety.
