Do you have a keen interest in nutrition and its key role in patient care and are you looking for an exciting new opportunity? Hywel Dda University Health Board are seeking a Band 4 Dietetic Assistant Practitioner to work as an integral member of the Macmillan Upper Gastrointestinal (UGI) and Head & Neck Cancer dietetic team, a service which covers the whole of the health board.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic and forward-thinking dietetic team focusing on achieving excellent nutritional care for people with a diagnosis of UGI and Head & Neck Cancers.
The successful applicant will become an integral member of the dietetic team working to ensure patients nutritional status is optimised pre, during and post treatments.
You will work with patients, their carers and the multi-disciplinary teams (MDT) in the community and in MDT clinics . You will support timely transfers of care, and will undertake delivery of nutrition education and training to other health and care staff. You will demonstrate a good understanding of the role of nutrition in health care.
A successful candidate should be an excellent communicator, a team player and be prepared to undertake further learning and development to fulfil the scope and requirements of this role.
You will join our small but highly respected Health Board dietetic team and benefit from a well-established friendly and supportive structure, with an active focus on continuing development and well-established multi-professional links.
